3-4 lb Chuck roast
salt, pepper, garlic powder
2 tbsp butter
1 onion, sliced
2 tbsp garlic, minced
2 tbsp your favorite steak sauce
1 12 ounce beer
1 tbsp steak seasoning (I used Montreal)
1 1/2 cups beef broth or stock
slider buns
pepper jack cheese
crispy fried onions, from container
chipotle aioli or a favorite topping
Season the roast on all sides with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
In a large skillet, melt butter and sear the beef on all sides. Place the beef in slow cooker.
In skillet, add onions, garlic, steak sauce, beer, broth and steak seasoning. Stir to combine and simmer about 5 minutes.
Pour onion/broth mixture over the beef in the slow cooker. Cook on low 6-8 hours.
Remove roast and shred with 2 forks, discarding extra fat. Return meat to slow cooker and stir well.
Make sandwiches with bun, meat, cheese, crispy onions and aioli.
