4 cups frozen hash browns (diced)
garlic salt and black pepper to taste
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
8 oz bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
12 oz can evaporated milk
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp salt
2 green onions, thinly sliced
Grease a square baking dish.
Layer half the potatoes in the dish, sprinkle desired amount of garlic salt and pepper. Add half the onion, half the cheese and half the bacon. Repeat with another layer.
In a bowl, whisk together evaporated milk, egg and salt. Pour over potato mixture. Bake 50-55 minutes, let stand 15 minutes. Top with green onion.
