3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
2 sticks (one cup) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 1/2 cups packed dark brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, plus more for topping
sea salt for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 or 3 large baking sheets with parchment paper.
Whisk together flour, baking soda, cornstarch, 1/2 tsp salt in a bowl. Set aside.
In a larger bowl, beat butter and brown sugar with a mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat in vanilla.
Slowly beat in flour mixture in batches until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
Scoop dough, about 2 tbsp each, onto baking sheets. Keep about 2 inches apart. Press another 5 chocolate chips onto top of each dough ball.
Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown. Sprinkle with sea salt.
Cool in pans for a few minutes, transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
