Q99'S SUMMER OF FAMILIES & FUN
Summertime is here and that means...it's time for Q99's Summer of Families & Fun! Once again this year, we have tried to provide the families in our area with affordable summer fun & entertainment close to home.
Here is the 2010 Summer of Families & Fun events schedule:
July 31st-Q99's Beach Party @ Smith Mountain Lake
Our fourth and final stop on Q99's Summer of Families & Fun schedule is Q99's Beach Party @ Smith Mountain Lake on Saturday, July 31st from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The Q99/Valleydale Diner will be set up for lunch serving Valleydale hot dogs on Heiner's buns and Pepsi products. The Q99 Prize Wheel will be set for kids 12 and under to spin. Q-Bear will be there live, too!
Admission is 99 cents per person for the beach and parking is $4.00 per carload from 10-1:00 PM!
So grab your beach towel and sunscreen for Q99's Beach Party at Smith Mountain Lake State Park on July 31st!
July 20th-Family Fun Day @ The New River Valley Fair

Our third stop on Q99's Summer of Families & Fun schedule was Family Fun Day @ The New River Valley Fair on Tuesday, July 20th at the New River Valley Fairgrounds in Dublin. The Q99/Valleydale Diner was at the Fair from 2:00 PM when the gates open til 10:00 PM. Admission was free from 2:00-3:00 PM. Q-Bear was there live with Joey Self from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM with plenty of "hugs" for everyone.
Our friends at B & H Computers, an authorized agent of U.S. Cellular, joined us at the Q99/Valleydale Diner from 2-5:00 PM passing out "hand-held fans". In addition, listeners were able to register for a Pepsi Prize Pack that includes Passes to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg courtesy of Pepsi Refresh Project from 2:00-3:00 PM.

July 13th-Q99 Night at Natural BridgeOur second stop on Q99's Summer of Families & Fun schedule was Q99 Night at Natural Bridge on Tuesday, July 13th at Natural Bridge. Dick Daniels & Q-Bear were there live from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The Q99/Valleydale Diner was open for dinner serving Valleydale hot dogs on Heiner's buns and Pepsi products. In addition, kids 12 and under could spin the Q99 Prize Wheel.
Natural Bridge hosted this 99 Cent Families & Fun Night til 8:00 PM! It included admission to the Wax Museum, the Toy Museum and Natural Bridge.
July 7th-Q99/Pepsi Night at the Salem Fair
Our first stop on this year's Summer of Families & Fun event schedule was Q99/Pepsi Night at the Salem Fair on Wednesday, July 7th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Salem Civic Center in Salem. The Q99/Valleydale Diner was set up on the Midway and we broke out the Q99/Pepsi Prize Wheel. Kids 12 and under could spin the wheel to win lots of Pepsi prizes such as T-shirts, frisbees and much more. Plus, David Page & Q-Bear hosted some of their own family fun!
